LaDena Bolton
Super 7 Commissioner
Dr. LaDena Bolton is a proud wife, mother of three boys, and a lifelong resident of DeKalb County. A graduate of Avondale High School, she earned her B.S. degree from Savannah State University and later completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Clark Atlanta University. Her professional journey spans the corporate, academic, and government sectors—having served as a Forensic Chemist for the U.S. Army and contributed to global operations at one of Atlanta’s most iconic beverage brands. With deep roots in science and service, Dr. Bolton brings a unique blend of analytical rigor and community-centered leadership to her role as County Commissioner for Super District 7. Raised in the very neighborhoods she now represents, Commissioner Bolton leads with empathy, precision, and a commitment to measurable impact. Her office prioritizes transparency, process improvement, and service efficiency—ensuring that every initiative is grounded in data and driven by the needs of the people. Whether engaging residents at townhalls, advocating for infrastructure equity, or elevating local voices through public recognition, Dr. Bolton remains focused on building a healthier, safer, and more connected DeKalb County for all.
Lavezza Zanders-Johnson
Chief of Staff
Chief of Staff - Lavezza Zanders-Johnson, is a seasoned project
manager and research professional with over 20 years of experience
in advancing medical innovation and healthcare equity. She has led
global research projects, ensuring ethical patient safety while
developing groundbreaking therapies. As Associate Director of
Research and Regulatory Affairs at Emory University, she played a
pivotal role in shaping research policies. A published author, she is
deeply committed to advocating for public health accessibility, equity,
and awareness. Her impact extends beyond borders—having
provided resources for HIV-affected communities in Africa and
spearheaded health initiatives across more than 13 U.S. states.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lavezza is a dedicated
community leader and advocate. She serves on the board of Service,
Respect, & Training, supporting youth development and underserved
populations. Currently, as Chief of Staff for DeKalb County Super
District 7, she remains devoted to uplifting communities through policy
and outreach. A loving wife and mother, she finds fulfillment in giving
back, championing health equity, and fighting for those in need.
